The Jurassic Coast
This UNESCO World Heritage Site consists of 95 miles of coastline running from Orcombe Point in East Devon to Old Harrys Rock in Dorset and the rocks here have recorded 185 million years of the Earth’s history…..great for fossil hunting!!! There are many beautiful and iconic towns and natural sites to visit along the coast line from smaller places like Kimmerage Bay to beautiful treasures such as Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Charmouth and the larger towns of Swanage, Lyme Regis and Weymouth. These are just a few of our favourites but there are plenty more places along the coast to discover.
The Jurassic Coast is simply breathtaking and has numerous selling points. Whether it’s walking, exploring, fossil hunting or just relaxation and sightseeing you’re looking for you will find it in abundance along this fascinating coastline which is situated within an hours drive from Bloomfield.
