Bloomfields Glamping Yurts
We have everything you could possibly need here at Bloomfield to make your glamping holiday as enjoyable and stress free as possible.
From huge 6 foot luxurious glamping yurts and a beautiful, spacious safari tent on beautiful roomy pitches to having your very own fully equipped kitchen unit….we have it all covered.
The glamping yurts:
All the glamping yurts contain a king size bed and two solid single futons. All bedding is provided for your stay. There is also a storage unit and hanging rail with clothes hangers.
Also in each yurt there is a woodburner and fairy lights/ tea light candles for lighting.
The yurts are a single room structure and are extremely spacious. There is plenty of room to add a third child if necessary with there still being plenty of room for a comfortable stay.
The kitchen unit:
There is a kitchen unit on each yurt pitch. Each kitchen contains a gas cooker ,crockery and cutlery for 4 people, kettle, 2 Saucepans, baking tray, jug, wooden spoon, spatula, bread knife, small knife, barbecue utensils, bottle/can opener, scissors. There is also a Cool box, rubbish bins and a water container (we no longer provide cafetieres).
Outside the kitchens there is a covered seating area for outdoor eating.
The Safari Tent:
The safari tent is a stunning solid structure that is made up of 3 separate rooms. There are 2 bedrooms and a lounge/kitchen area. The first bedroom contains a king size bed and the second bedroom has bunkbeds for 2 children however there is plenty of room to add a third child if required. The lounge area contains seating that surrounds a cosy woodburner. The kitchen area has a gas hob for cooking and a sink with running cold water. The kitchen in the safari tent contains the same items as the yurt kitchen units.
The safari tent has a raised outdoor deck with an eating/seating area and the spacious pitch is completed with a fire pit for campfires or barbecue cooking.
- A set amount of wood, fire lighters and tea light candles are provided. If more is required these are available to buy from our honesty shop on site.
- There is a picnic bench on each pitch and benches dotted around the site however we do not supply additional chairs on the pitches.
- There is no electric or running water on the pitches. Lights are via fairy lights and tea light candles in the yurts, a battery powered light in the kitchen unit and solar lights underneath the covered eating area.
Bloomfields on site facilities
Parking
We have great parking facilities here at Bloomfield. As you pull in through the gate you will immediately find yourself in our stoned car park. There is plenty of space for all campers. The reception cabin/honesty shop is situated next to the car park.
Toilet/Shower block
Our main toilet and shower has 2 x flushing toilets, 2 x wash hand basins, 2 x showers, freezers, phone/ipad charging points and a washing up sink. One of the wash cubicles also has a hair drier. As well as the main toilet block we have also incorporated an additional waterless toilet nearer to the camping area. Our main toilet block is “off grid” and features a packaged sewage system so we won’t be feeding into the mains. This is better for the environment as nature breaks things down and this also collects our “grey” water, processes it naturally to a level where we can feed it back into the watercourse.
Honesty Shop
We have a small shop on site which stocks a few essentials and gifts. This can be found in the reception hut next to the car park.
Power
Bloomfield is completely off grid and is powered by 12 x solar panels and 16 x Rolls batteries. These give us power for lighting, pumps, freezers and hair drier.
Wifi & Phones
Mobile signal is pretty good now on site. If for some reason your signal is not great then we have a landline in reception that can be used as a contact point for friends/family if required.
A majority of parents use a break with us as a chance to get the kids away from screens and to encourage them to get out, explore and play outside. We do however have charging stations if devices are brought. We also have wifi on site.
